Title :Innovate & Lead: A Rousing Call to Youth
Sub-Theme :Understanding India ~ Entrepreneurship ~ Innovation ~Leadership ~ Social Entrepreneurship
Understanding India: India has been a world in itself, unique and incomparable. Its rich heritage, diversity, the underlying currents unity, myriad forms of expression, its promises of infinite possibilities etc. have always baffled every one today as it did yesterday. With all its strengths, weakness, aspirations and new found confidence, India, is being looked upto as reckoning force of the future years. India, can shoulder this responsibility in an effective way if the youth have a better appreciation India’s time-tested wisdom and universal values.
Entrepreneurship: Entrepreneurship is an art, and not only involves skill but also an uncanny ability to take risks, embrace innovation, efficiency, productivity and forge ahead to give something to the societal marketplace. Entrepreneurs in the domain of business and industry are a necessary component of a progressive society, so are social entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurs, as understood by us, are not only capable of acting as catalysts for economic changes but can also usher in social transformation. The zeal, dedication and flexibility of entrepreneurs in every field are a source of inspiration to all and sundry.
Innovation: Innovation is not limited to products, services, processes or technologies but extends to the realm of Ideas and Thought Processes. Innovation is aimed as much at staying ahead in the race as it is towards responding to new challenges, situations and circumstances. We believe, innovation transcends the barriers of scientific laboratories to the society and the individual. Where novel Ideas are honoured and see the light of the day, Innovation occurs.
Social Entrepreneurship: Refers to entrepreneurial principles to organise, create and manage a venture to solve an identified social problem or to achieve a social change. Social Capital, the performance indicator of the social entrepreneurship, is a new way looking at social stabilizing factors – culture, traditions and social linkages.
Leadership: With its basis in social influence, Leadership today has assumed far nuanced and developed perspectives. Today, the world in general and India in particular is in need of an honest, conscientious leadership in every sphere of society, from business to politics, sports to academics. For India to take that Big Jump, it is imperative that the youth of the Nation don a leadership role, taking everyone along, and also creating other leaders in the process.

“Service to man as the visible manifestation of the Godhead was the special form of worship he (Swami Vivekananda) advocated for Indians, devoted as they were to the rituals and myths of their ancient faith” - Swami Nikhilananda
Crores of our brothers and sisters are cursed to live with deprivation - of Sneh, Swavalamban, Samajik Suraksha - and poverty for no fault of them. They are suffering simply because they have taken birth under these conditions. They face discrimination on counts of gender, physical disability, disease or poverty – economic or educational – and destined to bear the brunt of conservativeness of the society. An umbrella of compassion, love and a healing touch from the capable can remove tears from their eyes and bring smiles in their face.
